The whole post was enlightening and enjoyable I am looking forward to reading the next instalment(s).I think we often wonder who went before us in a certain place where there is an athmospheric feeling like very old castles ( I recently visited Carcassonne in France) and in your case caves where people lived millions of years ago. Your must have stones remind me of the stones on Easter island, smaller but similarly shaped?
Congratulations on the continued shaping of the house, it will be a stunning place to live!Peggyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16336168195436906219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3772078074457885561.post-10625175917297684942012-03-26T23:02:22.658+02:002012-03-26T23:02:22.658+02:00Thanks for your visit - I hope to publish Part 2 t...Thanks for your visit - I hope to publish Part 2 tomorrow.OneStonedCrowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00500359406575114699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3772078074457885561.post-15763077839206417842012-03-26T22:33:08.088+02:002012-03-26T22:33:08.088+02:00very interesting;.. will be back to see what '...very interesting;.. will be back to see what 's happening nextThis is Belgiumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13717829942768478705noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3772078074457885561.post-10164855100024585922012-03-26T12:53:47.394+02:002012-03-26T12:53:47.394+02:00hehehe ... brilliant idea! ... it won't work t...hehehe ... brilliant idea! ... it won't work though, I can't cook and I'm sure my guests won't appreciate being tossed a tin of Sweetcorn for breakfast ... :)OneStonedCrowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00500359406575114699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3772078074457885561.post-76065866718065000802012-03-26T12:32:50.768+02:002012-03-26T12:32:50.768+02:00someone's bound to move in..you can start a B&...someone's bound to move in..you can start a B&B :)aurorahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07241266839281239884noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3772078074457885561.post-84813238674768607952012-03-26T00:02:09.241+02:002012-03-26T00:02:09.241+02:00Thanks Monica - my first ideas were to put a light...Thanks Monica - my first ideas were to put a light on the 'point', hence the electrical conduit on the right on the unfinished wall, ... or make it a water feature ...

... now I just want to create something special with rock ... perhaps leave that little opening open, turn it into a Dog House ... or a Cave to meditate in ... :)OneStonedCrowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00500359406575114699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3772078074457885561.post-5969844275992760262012-03-25T23:51:56.804+02:002012-03-25T23:51:56.804+02:00great story..the first thing I thought , that the ...great story..the first thing I thought , that the cone shaped stone structure was a bee hive ..what an Oasis you have created in the desertaurorahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07241266839281239884noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3772078074457885561.post-87054112379912339762012-03-25T23:33:18.522+02:002012-03-25T23:33:18.522+02:00Namibian desert skies will take your breath away -...Namibian desert skies will take your breath away - some of the cleanest air in the world ...OneStonedCrowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00500359406575114699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3772078074457885561.post-24006890426773582412012-03-25T22:58:01.077+02:002012-03-25T22:58:01.077+02:00Oh okay, now I see why it is so lush and green, he...Oh okay, now I see why it is so lush and green, he he.

Great that the tent can be extended to make you nice and comfortable. Would love to see those stars. That is one thing I liked about travelling in the highlands of Kenya. I could open wide my hotel windows and gaze at the moon and stars. Of course, one can't do that everywhere but I was fortunate to have my rooms where I could do that in many places. Out of curiosity though I'm wondering why you decided to build in the desert, rather than closer to where you are living now?
,
The photos of the area you travelled and the history of the caves is so interesting.
