Alice In An African Wonderland

Alice's Wonderful Adventures in Africa

I found this delightful version of an African Alice on a Russian blog and with the help of Google was able to identify the illustrator as Erin Taylor.

Erin lives in the USA and has a blog page Alice's Wonderful Adventures in Africa.

There are many more images on her blog and if you click on them they open-up to a large, readable size.

  1. So is this where the hookah smoking caterpillar comes from?

  2. What a delightful spin on an old classic - and the illustrations are lovely, too .... thanks for sharing !

  3. Haha Dave - yes, indeed! ... it's also a line from the Jefferson Airplane song "White Rabbit" ...

  4. This is just magic. I have followed the link and when I have a bit more time I will read the story of Alice. Thanks. The pictures are wonderful.

  5. Thanks for your comments Lynda and Diane - glad you enjoyed them ...

... I've also found an Australian version which I'll post sometime in the future ...

  6. Wow (again) what pretty pictures. True Wonderland.

The new movie is certainly stiring up a buz. Lets hope it lives up to all the hype. Would love to hear more about the Australian version.

  8. Hey DD, yeah, I hope to see the movie sometime ...
