Driving in Namibia - Animals On The Road


Oryx


Baboons

Warthog


Jackal


Water Buffalo - Caprivi Region

This is a selection of some of the animals commonly seen along the roadside in Namibia.
Kudu, (not pictured), and Warthog are often the cause of accidents, sometimes resulting in death or serious injury to people.

  2. Great pictures. I love the Sprinkboks, they are just magical to watch when running in large herds and 'pronking' as they run.

  3. Love these. I decided when I was little (and you're not allowed to have more than one favourite, OBVIOUSLY - it's against a rule of childhood - like you can't have more than one best friend) that my favourite animal was the gemsbok, the oryx. Great pics!

    ... it's great how everyone has a favorite animal hey ... baboons fascinate me the most - they're the ultimate survivors and can be found living in the most inhospitable terrain ...

  7. Truly amazing to see the "cows" of Namibia (that is what we normally get to see here in Malaysia).

  8. I love the photos of wildlife anywhere but these ones bring back memories of my safari in Kenya. I really miss it.
